The proposed Local Union Plan to nominate and elect delegates to the IBT Convention to be held in Las Vegas, Nevada, in June 2026 was submitted to the Election Supervisor on
September 15, 2025.
The Election Plan is available for review on-line under the "Delegate Elections" tab at www.ibtvote.ort. The complete Election Plan, Including attachments, is available for inspection at the Local Union office at:

by any member of the Local Union, any candidate for International office, and by the International Union or any subordinate body. Upon request, each of the foregoing has the right to obtain a copy of the Plan from the Local Union at no cost. Inspection may be made during the usual hours of the Local Union office, which are:
Mon – Fri. 7:00 A.M. – 3:30 P.M.
Any interested Union member or body has the right to submit written comments to the Election Supervisor, with a copy to the Local Union, concerning the Local Union Plan within fifteen (15) days of the submission of the plan to the Election Supervisor. Written comments should be addressed to:

What's New at Teamsters 541 NOTICE OF NOMINATIONS AND ELECTIONS FOR THE ELECTION OF OFFICERS OF TEAMSTERS LOCAL UNION NO. 541
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT nominations of candidates for the offices of President, Vice President, Secretary-Treasurer, Recording Secretary, and three (3) Trustees for a three year term, January 1, 2026 through December 31, 2028, will take place at the regular membership meeting as follows:

To be eligible to run for office, a member must be in compliance with Article II, Section 4(a)(1) of the International Constitution. The 50% meeting attendance requirement shall be enforced as a condition of eligibility to run for office in this election.
To be eligible to nominate or second a nomination, a member must have his or her dues paid through the month prior to the month in which the nomination meeting is held. Nominations shall be made orally from the floor by a member in good standing, other than the nominee and shall be seconded by a member in good standing other than the nominee. If you are unable to attend the nominations meeting due to your employment, you may nominate or second a nomination by filing a written statement at the Local Union office before the start of the meeting.
Nominees must accept nomination at the time made, either in person or, if absent, in writing and may accept nomination for only one office. Prospective nominees are advised to verify, in advance of the nominations meeting, the eligibility of their nominators and seconders. The election rules are set forth in the Local Union By-Laws and the International Constitution, which are available upon request.
Elected officers of the Local Union shall, by virtue of such election, be delegates to any Joint Council with which the Local is affiliated, as well as to any convention of any subordinate body which may take place during their term of office. Elected Local Union officers, shall be delegates to such conventions in the order of priority set forth in the Local Union Bylaws.
The election of officers shall be conducted by secret ballot and take place as follows:

In addition, if you are unable to vote in person, mail absentee balloting shall be permitted upon written application. To vote by mail absentee ballot, you must deliver or mail a written application to Cheyenne Keith, Secretary-Treasurer of Local 541, 406 NW 1st St., Oak Grove, MO 64075. Telephone or other requests will not be accepted. Your written application for mail absentee ballot must be received by the Secretary-Treasurer at the Union Hall not less than five (5) days prior to November 25, 2025 election day. Your application must be in writing and must contain the following: 1) your full name, 2) your home address, 3) your place of employment, 4) your Social Security Number, 5) your mailing address, 6) a statement of the reason you cannot vote in person, and 7) your signature. Absentee voting by mail shall be permitted only by members who are ill or absent from the city or town where they are normally employed at the time of voting because on vacation or on employment tour of duty.
If your application meets these requirements and is received no later than five (5) days prior to November 25, 2025, an absentee mail ballot, with instructions for voting, will be mailed to you or may be picked up by you at the Union Hall. To be counted, your absentee ballot must be received by mail no later than noon on election day. Therefore, in order to insure enough time for your absentee ballot to be received and counted, you are encouraged to make application as soon as possible.
The election will be conducted in accordance with the election rules set forth herein, the Constitution and Bylaws of Local 541 and the International Constitution, copies of which are available at the Local Union office upon request.
To be eligible to vote in the election, a member must have his or her dues paid through the month prior to the month in which the election is held.
